Goodbye to Love

Contributed by mdgaeddert on Thursday, 1st February 2007 @ 03:57:30 AM in AEST
Topic: goodbyepoetry

Where Have You Been? I've been looking for you
I never thought you would be the one to go
How was I so Wrong? I just used to believe
That you were my princess, so precious to me
I wish you'd understand, I'd give you the world
Special only begins to describe what I thought we had
I wonder if you really realize what we lost
losing us, losing that, was it?
was it really worth the cost?
But maybe you do know, tell me
tell me, you dont think of me too.
even if you told me I wouldnt think it was true
I still believe deep inside of me
that fate will play its part for once
and we could find what we once had
but i have to face reality and just realize
that your really gone, out of my life
Goodbye to true love heaven sent
my angel a blessing from above
I guess just goodbye to love

aww this is such a sad and powerful write.. it hurts when you lose someone you love or think you love.. hang in there things will get better and the right person will stay with you and return that love.. beautifully tragic write though

aw, this poem reminds me of my times when I had to let go of someone I really didn't want to. It's beautiful you described your point very well.
