Hey familiar you! [Inspiration]

Contributed by CuriousitysCat on Wednesday, 31st January 2007 @ 09:29:04 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I can't believe this has come
To you and me
I refuse to see
This block in our road
What did I do?
How did you let me?
I fear that this is yet another form
Of the end for us to face
I just want to slip away
To a safe place
Looks as though we are parting
For an unknown period
So let's just
Leave
Things as they are
And come back later
Yes, my sweet darling I still love you
With all of me
We can leave it behind
And meet again on some distant shore
After we've walked our seperate lines
So with this I will say adieu
My love, my life, my Inspiration
To write
I guess this is goodbye
From, Me To, You

CuriousitysCat, I certainly hope I am miss reading the message of this fine piece of word art, The talent contained within this piece is excellent and I sure hope you can find inspiration through other poets whom will no doubt support such an artist and do nothing but encourage them to keep writing. I really enjoyed the structure and see such a gifted person with a bright future. Let me now plead with you to keep you from placing your poetic pen down as you and your words of art will be missed leaving your fans with a sad frown.

I couldn't help but having a little smile after reading this. I swear we are connected some how. I suppose though every poet has felt this way before. I liked how you penned this. I almost felt like you were telling "it" off. F you!, you'll come when I need you, and damn if you don't ....sort of feel. I don't know. I like it though. Good stuff.
Peace and hugs,
Laura

You have couched into this piece steps as a 'semi-parting' for the muse does not always come when beckoned rather it is an iron curtain that drops from nowhere and you either slip behind and get the glimpse or it misses you entirely. However I am much better now at seducing inspiration saying "I'll be good just one more dance please" politeness without begging. You however grab it by the collar like someone who you used to let cut in line in front of you and now its pulled behind you.

I love this as a revealing of potent feelings. However I also sense the real end is to the expectations of the muse and perhaps an embracing of Que Sera Sera!

With MuchLoveBigPeace and no matter what keep writing as the muse flows with have pen will travel.

AJ
