Lullaby

Contributed by undead_poet14 on Friday, 21st February 2003 @ 08:40:00 PM in AEST
Topic: FathersDayPoems

You held my hand when I learned to walk
You caught me when I fell
You danced with me to lull me to sleep
You were always there

No matter how old I get
He値l always be my daddy
Always keeping an eye out
So I don稚 get led astray

I値l always be your little girl
No matter how old I get
I値l still hug you
When you walk through the door

You take care of me when I知 sick
And do everything you can to make me happy
And no matter what I do or where I go
I値l always be your little girl

You helped me to discover I could write
You told me I was special
You made me laugh
You made me smile

I値l always be your little girl
No matter how old I get
I値l still hug you
When you walk through the door

You値l always be my daddy...

Dear Undead, I really like your poem. I'm not an educated critic of poetry. You write in a different style than I do, but I like the sound of it. You are a lucky girl to have a Daddy such as yours. Keep on writing! Great-grandma Bizzy

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ツゥ
