My Heaven Is Your Hell

Contributed by The_Unknown on Tuesday, 30th January 2007 @ 12:45:11 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

This place might be your Hell
But this is my Heaven
Where angels will die
And devils will be forgotten
Only the lonely will survive
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
This place surrounded by fire
Just enough water to drown
Devils are quickly forgotten
Angels will die
Only the lonely can survive

This place
Could engulf you
You could lose yourself to it
Enchanted with it's lonely beauty

Gaze into the fire
As you slowly drown

Devils will be forgotten
And angels will die
But the lonely can stay

My Heaven is your Hell
Where angels die
And devils are forgotten

I like the chunky juxtaposition very much like a poetic rocker where each line is greeted with electric chords accentuating the flow. I hear Emerson, Lake & Palmer bringing this one to life with organ and cosmic presence.
More often than not these days, this is true in so many ways i.e. IT professionals standing online at the DMV with a Blackberry.(Heaven.) Walking into a Starbucks (Hell.) Just a few that came to mind instantly.

Provocative & Well Done

Peace
Yang
