On My Shoulder

Contributed by ButchCorpuz on Monday, 29th January 2007 @ 10:32:48 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Each time you feel that you’re all alone
With sadness gushing ever so cold
Burdened by heavy tears on your own
Need comfort but there’s no one to hold

Let me carry that painful boulder
You can rest easy on my shoulder

Each time you feel like running away
And sorrow is just too much to bear
Clouds of despair envelop your day
As if the whole world just doesn’t care

Take my hand and we’ll run together
As all your tears rain on my shoulder

Each time you feel like falling apart
Trying to find shelter through the rain
With no one to hold your weary heart
Trying to find comfort through the pain

Inside my heart, I’ll hold you closer
And carry you up on my shoulder

So worry not every time you weep
You can always lean on my shoulder
I’ll never rest and I’ll never sleep
I won’t breathe until you feel better

For you’ll always have me, forever
Keep you safe and warm on my shoulder
