The man quivered from head to toe
Breathing hard but only in grasps
His eyes wide open and bulging out
Trying to manage that one lucky shout
His hands were rapidly searching for it
The pills that would resuscitate his life
Not only save him from a violent demise
But were also a part of his brutal vice
Unconsciousness was creeping in his mind
He could hear the echoes of his own death
The world was moving round and round
He was a lone passenger on the flight Hell bound
At last he found a bottle that said ‘Ecstasy’
Took an eternity for him to swallow two pills
He waited for his body to quit the shiver
Lying on the floor, cold, sweating a river
He started taking drugs to experience living
And now he took drugs to survive
Such stages of shock and shiver were very rife
Cause no matter what; he was a prisoner for life
