The Unused Talent

Contributed by Bizzy on Friday, 21st February 2003 @ 07:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: InternetLove

The unused talent,...
Will it be missed by the world?
Could persons have benefited
By that talent unfurled?
God gave me a talent
Thats such fun to do,...
But, I've held it back
For spare times that are few.
I'm a capable person
That can do alot,...
So, day to day,
In other chores I'm caught.
I want to do right
By God and man,...
To do the best
In this life that I can;...
Many care-taking chores
And wants to fill,...
All good works to do,...
Can they fill my bill?
Can I go to the Lord,
Say I didn't find time...
To sing you a song,...
Paint a picture,...
Write a rhyme?
My gift's not so great
For the world to miss;...
Yes,... The world could live
Quite well without this;
Yet, if I give myself chance
And I share it,
My frivolous talent
May brighten a spirit.
This matter concerns, both,...
Me and the Lord;...
Its a void in my life
I cannot afford.
Might I die unfinished,...
Feeling anguished grief, cry?
Could I look at Jesus
Without making a try?

Thank you, Phantom. Not sure about what you said, it seems I've been an odd ball among my circle for being so serious about it,..
but then, I was getting rather mature before I realized that I was not making very good decisions in the way I lived my days. It is good to find others who do have this value.

Thanks, Venkat, for your nice comment. Don't think I can claim the 'innocent' as I've made so many mistakes and had a difficult time with guilt, just couldn't forgive myself. I was talking myself into courage to doing less penance and allowing myself to just enjoy the talents God gave to me..... at least, some of the time!
