Match Made in Heaven

Contributed by yangdantien on Saturday, 27th January 2007 @ 04:26:11 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

In harmony strings dance,
sounds flood mnemonic,
like scents,
memories travel,
through the waters
of dreams.

Cervical malleable
the red anvil,
a hearts ecstasy beats
in soft drips of bonding
substance, opens
stretched, pulled,
born, taken
till comfort hardens
or connection breaks,
stain scars,
remnants that have
reason to mutate.

The force of marriage
arranged by good wholesome
parents, who know their
child's temperament,
flourish our species.
This love American style
has more divorce on record
and minds in splinters, lamenting,
'repair me,' till their deathbeds.

Bright explosions of emotion
struggle against
odds and judgments
ambition tempered by gravity,
motivation fueled by flight.
How it hurts to burn
with desires unfulfilled,
so much that if
I see the Buddha
on the road, I would be
the first to kill him.

Waking screams as,
living near the railroad,
rumbling mechanical noise,
rattling tracks and brains,
for miles on each side,
waves of presence
roll through our bodies.
As an added bonus
there is a hand
on the loudest steam whistle
in gods creation,
to wake up sleeping drivers?
And everyone else,
to its impending destination.
This hand attached
to the enjoyment of annoyance,
free from legal repercussion,
a mangler of calm,
a destroyer of quiet.
So is the rip
of broken families
in ones flesh.

Who examined the first photos
viewed a dimension
of space in the raw,
cosmos through a lens,
Ultra-violets & X-rays
and declared it art.
Pure Art.
So deadly wrong!
Art is that which
humans make
to bridge
between understanding
and the unknown(able).

The glimpses we get
from our effort
to see and know
the universe
is awe, pure awe.
Quite as found between
those in true bond.

Really amazing, just like the stars and sky. Though it had a bit of a sad feeling for me. It consumed me for the most part which is an effect I look for persistently these days. My favorite part:
"a hearts ecstasy beats
in soft drips of bonding..."
Not sure why but that part really brought the whole thing alive to me.

Another outstanding, mind tripping experience with this read. Took me to relationships hindered by this and that, including our relationships with other humans/animals and our Earth and universe.
Also made me feel that all we are, everything we've become, is all twisted and woven in the ageless web of life. Such a beautiful connection, filled with hills and valleys....ahhh but still connected. Anywho. I always love to hear your perspective on things. Am I anywhere near you?
Peace and hugs,
Laura

At 1st this read like the death of, Ward & June...but, I feel hope towards the end w/ your continued use of bridges...bridges, much like doorways, speak to me of further opportunities & thus, hope...

Thought provoking, as usual !!!

As always another wonderful work of Art from Aj....the one who mind boogles, yet makes it a simple as a reading a book. What words of wisdom on what can bond, and then break. Loved the whole piece..Makes you really want to know what does take a bond, and then seperates it , unknowly.

Hey AJ~ Just wondering if you can rub some of your talent on me? It doesn't hurt to ask you know, lol. All jokes aside now.
This is an outstanding piece of poetic art my dear friend. Your amazing work fascinates me and takes my mind on an enthralling journey. You remind me of some lyrics from a song, "Where everything is made to be broken" like connections/bonds and how they are formed and how easily they can be seperated/broken.
Your clarity on the subject credits your tremendous skill in poetic art.
By the way you also find the best kind of pictures to go along with your extraordinary work. Well done my dear friend.
with many hugs from ur fan/friend,
sue m

I was inspired and awed by the depth to your words, but when I reached
this part, I paused .. and thought .. just about that for the briefest of moments ..

"Art is that which
humans make
to bridge
between understanding
and the unknown(able)."

just.. holy WOW. I mean, truly, that is one of most profound things
I've read as of late. Art, for me, has always been so subjective
and completely emotional. Perhaps, then, your words are not
so far from the truth, I said to myself. There are more ways to
understand than with science and a mind. There is a feeling
to understanding, methinks. And in so, making the unknown, a
little more clear. (at least, brushing it with a bit of clarity for the bearer)

ahem! Anyway .. excellent write. Your connections
were well worded and conveyed.

Get Budha off the road we don't want to lose a great poet . Beautiful piece that I found reading once was not enough. I do like the last verse which says to me when we realize the awe of our universe, we will then realize the awe of being one as humans also.

Your work is so profound, and the effect so powerful, one can't help but wonder what it might be like to be inside your head for just one day... I imagine it would be quite enthralling, and full of many mysteries : )
I like the choice of title too; it has a satiric quality to it.
