It's A Long Way Back

Contributed by the_story_of_the_year on Saturday, 27th January 2007 @ 02:29:15 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

I've passed the crossroads
It's a long way back
Too young to see further
Too late to look back

Still nowhere near where I thought I'd be
I'm running in circles
I'm still chasing cars, but never getting far
We're like parallel lines
Our paths will never cross

The moon weighs heavier than usual tonight
I can feel it pressing down on the world
My back is breaking
I'm trying to keep it up
I'm not looking forward to tomorrow

Each day erases everything I've gained
Just to build it back up to the peak of the night
Only to start over again
I'm back to where I was
Broken again
Lacking in life
Bored of religion
Holding on to friends
Still searching for it all

this is a very powerful and emotional piece that is well expressed.. it sounds like you are lost and trying to find your way.. I know this feeling well.. I also used to always feel like life was going in circles.. it will end when the time is right.. sometimes we have more lessons to learn before we get to be completely happy or find what we are looking for.. so keep the hope
