Perception

Topic: oops

As i stare across a river
I can see the stream flow
Or maybe i cant
where'd the stream go?
So i look up at the sun
surely its in my sight
but you said its not
said pretend its still night
so what do i vision
which way do i glance?
i've been told all is invisible
when you give it a chance
i was told she aint here
but i thought she was there
then i looked again
and she was everywhere
oh, i cant see that
i gotta play make believe
gotta trick the eyes
oh how they deceive
so i look back for the river
but the water's run dry
seems the stream stopped
like the tears that we cry
well then i look for the sun
but it's light has burn out
when you want it bad enough
thats how things turn out
i look for the words
i can see but wont say
cuz what i see i cant see
well at least not today
so i try to look forward
but i was told dont look ahead
so i stare back in your eyes
but in your eyes i'm dead
