Wayward Little Girl

Contributed by haku on Monday, 29th July 2002 @ 03:44:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Little girl someone has left you alone.
You were lying there cast out,
chilled to the bone.
When I found you sleeping so angelic,
you were sleeping on a park bench,
an old feeble green relic.
How could this beauty wind up here?
Unmistakeable reflection in her eyes,
I saw only ice cold fear.
How did you become deposited,
where you lay?
Has your cardboard box decayed away?

Haku

Excellent write, Gregg. This is so true, and so sad. I wish more people would be aware of and do something about it.
Hugs,
Jenni

Hi Jenni,
How are you? Better I hope. This new site is a little different.
I found my post on the seventh page! I don't know about this.
Thanks for your support as always. From my sand to your shores,
Gregg
