Disguise
We never knew
She would cut the pain away
Everything means nothing now
The memories linger in our minds
Her childhood flutters through my heart
Wish she would have cried out
Her silent screams no one could hear
The abyss fills her eyes
We could have done something, said something
I thought nothing was ever too late
She got too tired
Tired of playing god’s game
Her blood flows from her fingertips
And falls to the floor
The abyss now sinks to her heart
Nothing to feel, no one to care about
How could she be so selfish
I could have, should have saved her
She acted so normal
Her soul was so hollow
Now she’s on her way
All the way back home
To dance with the devil
We never knew
Her disguise would fool us all
