Teddy Bear Love
When I was a child how much I cried.
The pain did hurt me so much inside.
You see I did not have a Teddy bear
and my big sister would not share.
When I grew up I swore by all above,
my children would have a bear to love.
Now my youngest has one hundred and one
Maybe I went overboard? But I'm not done
Now my grandchildren each have a bear
and I carefully mend each little tear.
Last year my eldest daughter asked me why
I told her with teardrops in my eye
I never had a Teddy bear to love
Even though I prayed to God above
Now three teddies sit upon my bed
I love them all, Ted, Ted and Ted.

| How absolutely beautiful! I love my teddy too! Your poem also brought a tear to my eye! I'll make sure if I ever have kids to pass down all my teddy bears!! |
