I'm sitting all alone, though I wish that you were here,
but its too late and you're with her, just as I used to fear.
I start to wonder if you ever really cared, but then I hear our song,
and I remember all the good times, as I start to sing along.
All the times we used to laugh, long ago in that happy place,
and I remember when you left me, tears streaming down my face.
If I could go back in time, and forever stay there,
I would go back, back when you used to care.

Amazing. Very well done. I have probably read over 600 poems on here at least and this is one of my favorites. I don't even know how to tell you how perfect this is! It's the poem I could never write. It's pretty small and simple but says it all. So emotional. I truly feel your pain because I know exactly what you're writing about. Best wishes to you and I look forward to reading more of your work. Very nice job! -Drapes |

A very meaningful poem. worry not about age, love doesn't. it's what you feel that counts not what your suppose to feel or not feel at a certain time in life. As for what's real? well stubbing your toe on the bed may not be as painful as getting hit by a car, point being , as there are different degrees of pain so are there different degrees of elation brought on by love. In any case if one feel's it, then it's real. Nice writting.
thank you kindly for you comment also.
