Emotion

Contributed by Kellros on Wednesday, 24th January 2007 @ 11:17:52 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

It's in every happy tear,
it's behind your every fear,
it's what you call pain,
it's the smile in the rain.

Emotion, diverted,
emotion, ignored,
emotion, for all actions in life -
emotionless, kills your strife.

Emotion strangles. sorrow sneaks in,
emotion excited, because of the game you are about to win.
emotion restless, running to the ends of the earth,
emotion sacred, inbred from birth.

Humanity, showing emotion within,
strong burns the flame of sin,
emotion hated, with a permanent grin,
losing emotion, the line draws thin.

Unhappy as you walk your path,
life's pendelum, swinging it's curve,
unchanging the fact, you cannot dodge and swerve,
events happening, unlocking life's wrath.

Hearts of love broken,
must have been mistaken,
when your emotions took over
and plucked at a normal clover.

Finally, emotion to rest,
lessons learnt while failing the test,
realising that humanity lost what's most important:
the emotion that made them love and be excited,
now has made them distant.

This is a very powerful poem. Very strong and deep.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
