Wishful Thinking

Contributed by niccipooh on Wednesday, 24th January 2007 @ 12:06:26 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Does happiness require completeness / a knowledge of the wholeness of identity / your wants, your desires… / no necessity necessary / for it is but a journey with limitless breaks / achieved by few, traveled by many / will thee know me? Will thee know me well? / too many times I have laid hands upon myself; searching through faux joy / my identity irrelevant, for happiness is not repetitive / though a beating heart would serve thee / o, how the beating heart would learn me contentness / embraced by him…can a silent mission serve its purpose? / with blind dreams born of a whisper of desire / the image blank, yet the feelings surreal / thankful am I that the journey yields sensation / for I know nothing of you / though, with eyes closed, you know all of me / my identity lies in that beating heart / escaping through vague curiosity, consuming thoughts, then petty longing / you sought skin to heart and learned my story / content am I now, riding your wave of exploration / though no satisfaction in a journey unfulfilled / necessity will continue limitless breaks / but a silent mission permits suitable pleasure in the irrelevance of incompleteness / my happiness will come in an anonymous package……

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
