Same shoes, NEW dude

I just wanna let every one know that this is the new Boyd. You may not think you recognize me the next time you see me, but that’s just because it's time for the new me. This might seem strange but when some one needs to change they can only be different, never the same, yeah I know I'm in rhyme, I don't do this all the time, but I guess it just helps me speak my mind, but any ways like I was sayin, this might seem like some kinda game that I’m playin, thoughts, ideas, standards swayin, but its not, that’s all stopped, I am built like and upon a rock, it's time to bring out all the best of me and show you what I got. Still this new me is a hard earned process, inside of me so complex, externally without an accomplice, but from some where deep with in, after this long lapse, I begin, the decision that’s been made as I start this knew crusade. Yeah it's gonna be hard, with the goal at hand so far, but with the raising of the bar, I grab hold and reach the stars. Now the rules have been set, with money placed on this bet, I have lost for the last time, their will be no more regrets, no more blank checks or half debts, only big steps and filled nets. It's been time to take a stand, I'll grab the power and raise my hand, I wrote the writing in the sand, “I will be a better man.” There will be no question who I am or with whom I stand while I go across the land. So the next time you see me there's no reason to be scared no reason to feel weird, what happened before has all just disappeared, it's not like I didn't care, it's just that now I come prepared. So beware as once I was in repair, THAT identity has become a but a tainted glare, a reflectED memory from the new man standing there, writing a new book with a new hook, a fresh look and a firm foot, filling the whole of his every page with the ink of his every day, important choices making the whole way. Yes the same game, same blame, and same name, but bring on the new terrain, it’s ALL about the change. Not the shoes that stay the same.
