If I had known
Of the ice residing on the road
My car would have never started
And I’m sorry I couldn’t stop
For there was no way that I could,
Now I’m faced with my greatest regret
Because I can no longer feel
The touch of your pale skin
Or the breeze of your dark hair,
I can no longer feel the gaze
Of your beautiful green eyes,
I can only watch you
Unable to touch you
Unable to feel…
Please don’t forget me,
Just think of the time we shared
For it will replay through me
And I know that it hurts
Because I miss you so much
You must know though
That I will be watching over you
For the rain will be my tears
And the wind my touch
I will be the sun that warms your face
So dry your tears my love
And know that I’m with you
For I’m not going anywhere,
Not without you
I will remain on this Earth
Because I love you so much
And I will never leave you
Thus if I had known
Of the ice residing on the road
My car would have never started
And I’m so very sorry,
Would you please forgive me…

This is so darn sad almost made me cry. Nicely written, I hope this was fictional, such pain to lose someone you are that close to.
