Sands Of Time

Contributed by Balmain_Tiger on Monday, 22nd January 2007 @ 04:45:22 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

The pleasure of love can hurt
I recall the times when a flirt
All emotions free and gay
Through our life, dreams of play

My smile thickens long and fast
To keep this time always to last
In my hand it seems as sand
Before too long all goes bland.

Through my time I now know
Where the sand really did go.
Fallen true, but never lost
It sits idle, like compost

Gather some from time to time
Sprinkle near your forever rhyme
Watch your memories grow strong
And how they last so very long.

Now when I gather sand
I happily hold it in my hand
Now the sand falls to accumulate
For me to use when next I date.

I love the optimism held herein...

"Now when I gather sand
I happily hold it in my hand
Now the sand falls to accumulate
For me to use when next I date."

Know that in my esteem she'll be a lucky lady...tiger...teehee

I don't know about you dude but with me I try to use the lesson of my last encounter and always manage to stuff up the next one again and again. Maybe I need to use some manure (Bull *****) instead of compost.
