THE POETRY SITE

A POEM BY ICCLE MEE ;-)

I STARTED BROWSING THRU THE INTERNET - TO TRY AND FIND A SITE
TO PUT SOME WORDS ON PAPER - JUST SEE IF I COULD WRITE
I FOUND THE WORDS JUST SEEMED TO FLOW AND SO I TYPED THEM OUT
THEN POSTED THEM UPON THE SITE, WOULD THEY BE READ? I DOUBT!

SOON I FOUND MY MIND A WANDERING, WONDER IF MY POEMS READ?
ALL THOSE LINES I WROTE ABOUT MY MALC? SHOULD I WRITE OF LIFE INSTEAD?
OH HOW I SMILED WHEN AT LEAST I SAW, SOME PEOPLE THEY HAD VIEWED!
AND EVEN PLACED SOME COMMENTS AND NICE ONES, NONE WERE RUDE!

T'WASNT LONG BEFORE I SAT AND TYPED OUT MORE AND MORE
AND EXCITED LOOKED MOST ANXIOUSLY TO SEE WHAT WAS THE SCORE?
IF ONLY PEOPLE REALISED, HOW PLEASING IT IS, TO READ
A COMMENT, WRITTEN HERE AND THERE... IF WE'RE TO SUCCEED

I GET A FEELING OF EXCITEMENT AND EVEN A WARM GLOW
WHEN I READ MY POEMS WERE UNDERSTOOD BY PEOPLE I DONT KNOW
I LIKE TO SEE THE SCORE HIGH TOO IT GIVES ME QUITE A BUZZ
INFACT I LOVE ALL OF IT..... THE INTERACTION AND THE FUSS

I ALMOST GET FRUSTRATED WHEN IM TOLD I CAN'T SUBMIT
I STAMP MY FEET AND SCREAM A LOT ...THROW A CHILDLIKE FIT
BUT TODAY, IT WAS A DODDLE .AND IT SAID "YEAH GO AHEAD"
BUT I HAD NO POEM READY, SO I SUBMIT THIS INSTEAD!!!

SO READ AWAY AND COMMENT - BE GENTLE NOW AND NICE ...
EVEN IF U WERE JUST TO VIEW- IM SURE THAT WILL SUFFICE
BUT REMEMBER THAT WARM FEELING, THAT YOUR COMMENTS GIVE TO ME
I THANK YOU ALL FOR READING THIS MUCH LOVE, FROM ICCLE DEE XXX

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
