Winding Road

Whims float down a road of lost tomorrows,
In a blanket of iced over dreams,
No soul can be remembered,
Down this path of tears and shame,
In the midst of piercing shadows,
Never relinquishing to the dawn,
Gray hues prevail across this land.
Reverie disappears into smoky silence,
Over endless waves of crying hills,
And all that once was treasured,
Delivers itself below the ground.
