Ribbons of Rose

Contributed by kirs on Sunday, 21st January 2007 @ 10:50:50 AM in AEST
Topic: AmericanTragedy

A poet causes war,
while his words are
nothing but the motive
penned for no one to read.

The pen his weapon,
wielding mass destruction
on either side in ribbons.
You can see it in his eye.

A song of hope lessoned,
into the battlefield.
A word of fear raised,
to push his soldiers off the ledge.

Heartache awaiting the victor,
bloodshed is not meant to be remembered.
Whom of those many graves,
ever see daylight again.

As if an act of kindness,
the top seems to turn the fame
and while spinning out of control
seems to provoke the enemy.

The ribbons fall from the sky,
taking over the land in rose.
We're left to wonder what provoked
the poet to sound his words;
'Love, peace, harmony, forgiveness.'

Good work here, I really like it. But, I am torn. I do believe the poet is either Yangdatian or MisfitMe
