Shattered and broken
My heart's on the floor
I've given up hope now
I'm closing the door
The window's been broken
The floor set on fire
Cutting the outside
Off with barbed wire
The closet is sturdy
I know, I am hanging
Can't hear the cops talking
Only doors banging
Too deep alone here
I've lost all thats good
The barrier's broken
But here comes the flood
My soul has been beaten
With chains drowned in rust
I'm on the backburner
With no one to trust
I'm sinking in hell now
The fire doesn't hurt
No pain can be felt here
I'm ****, I am dirt.

You most definitely aren't, you are an amazing writer! This is a great piece. Good rhyming and it flows very nicely. The imagery and figurative speech is very well done. I wish for the best for you, great write! - Drapes |
