My Heart Goes Out to the Lovers

I’m thinking of someone I care for tonight,
I’m not sure just who it might be,
But what I’m hoping might happen tonight,
Is that someone is thinking 'bout me.
We’re caring for those whom we care for,
Yet love may not be the word,
It’s hard to find the true meaning of love,
But this I'm sure you have heard.

My heart goes out to the lovers,
Sleep well in each others arms,
Hold close and sleep tight,
Throughout all the night,
Protect them from all of life's harms.

Love can heal wounds even time cannot mend,
And it lifts us when were feeling blue,
But love is not always your light at the end,
Of the tunnel, and that is the truth.

My heart goes out to the lovers,

Life has a way of putting you down,
Of knocking you off of you feet,
It’s always good to have someone around,
To pull you back off of you seat.
