Fade Away

Contributed by lostinmyself on Saturday, 20th January 2007 @ 11:34:16 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I feel you fade away,
Like the wind whips away the mist,
Like a bird flies south from the nest,
And leaves but feathers in the air.

I feel you slip away,
Like the zephyr takes the salty spray,
And flies it out onto the bay,
And whoever dares to feel it there.

And I wish that I could feel it now,
{Every drop to match each tear,
Born from under heavy brow.}
...And that winds shall call you here.

I feel you fade away,
Like an echo lost upon a storm,
A shadow lost in seas of light,
Born from broken morn.

Sweet PhillyGirl your writes can always touch the readers heart and you make them feel your pain and sadness through your very well ascribed words.
An impressive and outstanding piece of poetry. All the credit goes to the gifted poetess behind these sad but excellent penned verses. Well done my dear friend.

The depth of loss you compose here is summed up with excellence:

"...A shadow lost in seas of light,
Born from broken morn."

Bravo

oh hun .. holy CRAP !! This is heart-shredding!!

I'm so sorry that you (or ANYone) must endure this
sort of pain and anguish. It tears at the soul, but that you
have the courage, strength, and magnificent talent to
put these emotions to page in such a perfect and moving way
is outstanding, hun.

I am more akin to these emotions than I'd like, sometimes ..
but hope, for me, is a much better road than that of regret.
such is my lot, I guess.

*hugs you so tight*

beautiful pain, sweets. I am moved to tears ..
~Breezy

Goodness! Everything I have read this morning has to do with saying goodbye somehow...or not saying goodbye...not sure. I think I really like this though because it truly feels the break. I really like the last line...it conveys such truth.
Love you,
StillStitch
