These Unfinished Lines

Contributed by moses on Thursday, 18th January 2007 @ 06:40:22 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I'll follow where you lead,
because I follow my heart.
The sky is a brilliant painter's canvas.
Purple and orange leap out onto your face.
And all I need is your hand.
The lands would drown,
if I shed from my desire.

Those glassy pearls shine this evening,
making lava from the rock.
Delicate and graceful your beauty is no undertone.
Let me feel your breath to let me know you're close.
Silently we scream, your gaze says it all.
Call me crazy but I find the fondest security in your smile.

The wind plays with your hair.
Doesn't it lift your spirit to have our feet on the ground?
The candles can burn to pools of wax.
And it all won't have to mean a thing,
with your head on my shoulder.

Come and listen close, I'll be your lullaby.
I wish I could say something as beautiful as you.
Your dress flows around your blinding aura.
The charming seduction of your presence
leaves me struck in awe,
"So this is what my soul looks like."

Unchain your fears, I'm right by your side.
Now you can finally breathe easily.
But I've got to let those alluring hazel eyes know
that these unfinished lines
mean so much more
than anything else that I could say.

wow moses .. this was so painfully beautiful! There is a wealth
of romance, devotion and love in and around these lines,
my friend. How lovely. It really is too beautiful for words.

Oh, how I adore that title, for to me, expressing the love
you feel for the object of your affection is a never-ending
exercise. There never seems to exist adequate words
to really and truly do justice to the emotion. It's as if your
heart is exploding, with the most beautiful, yet
inarticulate emotions known to man. I applaud your
effort here, though. You did an amazing job of exacting
just that. Truly gorgeous, both in thought and words.

Sigh-inducing write!

~Breezy
