Life...Peaks, Valleys and Plateaus

Contributed by Alotta_Smiles on Thursday, 18th January 2007 @ 01:02:57 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

You go about life
Same old everyday.
Then all of a sudden
Your life’s gone astray.

How did this happen,
This is just my luck.
Why me, not again,
Man does life suck.

You whine and you moan
Complaining about.
You’re tired of crap
And want to freak out.

Then all of sudden
Within a short while,
Things look hopeful again
You’re able to smile.

You look back on the times
That life seemed so bleak,
And your grateful you made it
You’re now in a peak.

As life goes by
And things get mundane,
We get in our ruts
Things always the same.

Go to work, come home
Get up each day at 6:00.
Your life is so boring
You need a new fix.

Then before you know
You’re back in a panic.
What do you do?
You start to get manic.

But you stop and you think
Look at all you’ve been though,
Heartbreak, disappointment
Sometimes poverty too.

And just when you think
The valleys too deep,
You’re climbing again
No mountain too steep.

So I guess what I’m saying
What I want you to know,
Is that above every valley
Is a peak or plateau.

C. Hickmott

This was technically excellent. A very important and uplifting message also that you were able to convey in a fun to read manner.

Very well done and welcome

Nice flow to this write and an uplifting message. Thanks for sharing the wisdom and you are so right we do reach a plateau once the valleys have been taken on.
