An hours stay was never enough,
But I didn't want you to come at all.
You insisted, you were right.
Four hopeless months were never enough.
But enough to lose my chance
That I thought I didn't want.
Playing it safe was never enough,
But I'm the one who said stop.
Why rush? There was time.
Your promises were never enough,
I didn't want to believe them.
(Nothing lasts forever.)
Jealousy was never enough.
You tested me, I won.
Yet, after all, it conquered.
The flat out truth was never enough.
I needed to be convinced
Although it was obvious.
Even your words were never enough.
What's more than "I love you"?
But I couldn't reply.
I think it's you that was never enough.
But enough to notice when you left.
Enough to break me down.
Maybe it was you that was never enough.
Or maybe it was me that was never enough.

| Very Heartfelt and emotional. I really love this poem. I can sorta relate to this and that is why I happen to love it. It was amazingly written and had a good meaning. *High Five* |
