Pink Roses

Contributed by NoSaint on Thursday, 18th January 2007 @ 06:54:31 AM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

As a child she always drew
Pink roses more than just a few
She would give them to everyone
Always laughing and having fun

As she grew she would wear
Pink roses in her hair
Sunshine to the world she brought
Always doing just as she ought

Her voice like angel choirs it’s true
Sang about pink roses covered with dew
Love she always seemed to share
Said that she would always be there

Pink roses adorned the church and her bouquet
As she walked down the aisle on her wedding day
And when she held her newborn son in her arms
Her husband brought a bracelet with pink rose charms

A good life they did have for many years
At her grave pink roses covered with tears
Home he went with a broken heart
On his pillow it gave him a start

Was a perfect pink rose
And a red lace heart

Your homage from the nature and tidings of the genus Rosa is most nourishing and delightful.
Thank you for creating and posting such a bouquet of inspiration.

Beautiful

Shari, I really like these rose poems. As I have told you before, Rose was my mother's name. The flower was her favorite. This was such a beautiful story and the ending, mystical. Thanks for sharing these lovely roses with us.
Peace and hugs,
Laura
