Mirage Across the Miles

Contributed by faith_my_eyes on Wednesday, 17th January 2007 @ 11:50:40 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Distance between
A constraining love
Waiting for
The day of requistion...
My soul longing
My heart bleeding
My emotions tearing
My desire is with you.
Your voice echos in the wind...
Vision of you materializing
You beckon... beguiling me...
blinding me to all else...
tempting, tantilizing,
hastening, expedite!
Come, please come!
I reach- I grasp--
Is it you?
I touch emptiness
Such a beautiful illusion!
I long, I my heart cries...
Are you there?
The cruelty of the false cogizance
Contemptible tomfoolery of phantasm!
And the malice of miles
How deplorable is the determination
That we are apart.
My heart cries in reply...
I shall soon come to you.

Stroke of the pen and a pining heart.
I felt each line. May you be together soon never to part again.

I adore the "malice of miles" line. Nice alliteration, expression and... eesh... truth there. Those that suffer or even, once suffered, the pain of distance will, I suspect, find the whole of this piece relatable and possibly even painful to read -- but, I'd guess that it would be those three words that stuck in their mind long after moving away from this page. Nicely done, Em!

*hugs you*

Dang SNM beat me to that comment. I too like the phrase "malice of miles" Very nicely coined! It defines the whole piece, which cries of longing.
I hope its only temporary!

You two shall be together soon enough. Who could stop you?!

I love your writing style, I have always found it unique. I just flow so well, and each word almost seems to stumble over the next.

Good write, sweetie.

*hugehugs*

May time be kind to you and you are once again reunited with your love. A relatable and very well penned piece of poetry. Your wording is superb. I wish you both the best of wishes.

Oh Em, in the days before deciding to travel with Damon, I can remember some very hard times. I could practically smell him, feel him at every turn....but he was still so unreachable. I do understand the longing. In time Em, all will be as it should.
Peace and hugs,
Laura

I like the alliteration parts a lot. Real pretty... distance makes write a lot... Anyway, I like the "My Andrew" part, that was funny...
Take care,
David

Goodness...so much here...so very, very much.
A VERY full write...there, felt good to say that. I wonder about the "mirage" though. The title caused me to come into the poem expecting something a bit different. Loneliness and desperation make for miserable company in a relationship. I hope things are resolved for you soon.
Love,
