Frozen Heart

Contributed by alison on Wednesday, 17th January 2007 @ 12:48:07 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

As the snow falls,
It still falls far from reaching the coldness left in my heart,
I see the other girl you desire,
And no you lied to me to get your desire,
Shame more than the words can hold,
So the frozen land of my hearts once warm surface stays,
When it snows I think of you,
When the sun is shining I think of you,
When the night partakes its time I think of you,
I would never return to you,
For death cannot return to its murder,
As snow cannot return to its sender,
You used me because you could,
That’s all you said as the end ended for you,
And when I asked how you could do what you did,
"Just can" was all that was returned,
When I said goodbye I meant it with all I am,
I never wish to speak to you,
Nor ever hear word of your name,
However the sight of your face haunts me still,
And the ice rules my heart over,
I got what I deserved for trusting in you,
I was naive and sent my heart to bleed,
I knew little of the world from which you came,
You asked me to trust you and believe your word,
And I did and ended up being less than trash,
I no longer wish to feel anything at all,
Now as I walk around a lifeless shell,
I understand something is different,
I know something has changed,
Yet I feel nothing but cold emptiness,
Like the desolate tundra of artic cold,
I dont care if the snow ever stops,
Or if summer time comes once more,
To me there shall be no difference,
For my heart I want to never again feel,
Never again trust and never again love,
For my heart is frozen still.

They say "All is fair in love and war" well I don't know about war but it is painful when we love someone who turns out to be cruel and unfeeling. May you be Blessed with good feelings and true love and a warm heart.

Well Done

Peace
