One more after this i think
and the truth will finally fade
Her love is truly lost to me
like tears out in the rain

I gave up life to live in the clouds
and pillows and pills will do
My candle's lit but it's very dim
shadows flicker in the room

Let me slip under the covers
and bury myself in memory
of all the days i let her see
the real me in dismay
I paint for awhile the faces
of all those whom i once knew
but it's getting very blurry
and i feel the sinking too

Pass me pills of little use
and with God i'll spend the hour
With myself i sign a truce
to resign my will of all it's power

Let not dreams escape your grasp
we all have wings to fly
So reach beyond your troubled past
and seek the strength to try
