Leaving Throught The Doors of Perception

You could find me on an Atlantic Ship with a cardboard crew and mates
Leaving London to cracked bells through holy, shallow gates
Or climbing the moon from mother earth on a three colored bungee wire
To go play staring game with it’s face or ride a granite tire
With Sand Kings and Concrete Queens you may watch me boast, juggle and jest
Or find me in a screaming mute’s bar with closest friends, drinking as they rest
I could be dancing on a widow’s wig at her anonymous child’s conception
Or simply leaving through the doors of perception
I might be gambling with a Muslim clock on the profits of a spec
Knifing twigs on my hind legs debating God’s with insects
Knocking on the doors of Hell to steal their welcome mat
Just to leave a note in white inked pen to tell the demons where it’s at
There’s a chance that you could find me barking down a tree
Spitting at the ocean or itching at the sea
Fighting in a court of earls against my own deception
Or simply leaving through the doors of perception
I could be falling in a universe of purple textbook hue
Trading in my body for something shinier and new
Deepening my tears and widening my smile
Run into me parading with the abominable and the vile
I’ll be reading in a Tennessee water cloud above a Middle American estate
Freeing freaks from senators and creating an illustrious, cold fate
But if you want me to spend the time with you, I could make an exception
And leave with you through the doors of perception
