Power Within

Topic: InspirationalPoems

He possess the qualities of perfection,
Around him I feel a sense of protection,
Behind his eyes, the world lies,
When strength of the animals arise.

He is the bear,
His essence fills the air,
Full of strength and cognition,
The spiritual guide of great intuition.

He is the badgers soul,
Not giving up until he has reached a desired goal,
Passionate and persistent,
Living close to the ground, yet he feels so distant

He is the beavers mind,
So sharp, not to fall behind,
Not only intelligent,
But industrious and diligent,

He is the most beautiful butterfly,
Flying ever so high,
Great transformation is his strength,
A heart immeasurable by any length

He is the graceful deer,
He shows no fear,
Gentle, yet sacrifices for the greater good,
He'd do anything that he possibly could

He is the loyal and faithful canine,
Touching your heart and mine,
A true friend to you and me,
From his watchful eye you may never flee.

He is the grazing elk,
Agility and stamina will never welk,
He represents confidence and power.
Your fears and uncertainties completely devoured.

He is the fish,
Granting your every wish,
He sees your emotions, but hides his own,
A true man of stone

He is the raven,
A personal haven,
Clever and magical, he guides us through the darkest of times,
Higher and higher the raven climbs

My inspiration,
No imitation,
An idol of mine,
till the end of time.

I loved it!!! it is really well written, wide vocabulary... I can reflect some of my emotions in some of the lines, and I think that's what makes a poem great. I'd like to read more from you!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
