How can it be
More unlike poetry?
But I'm working it
Like a potter's jar,
Shaping my craft
I never know when
Inspiration will come, but I know
That I need to always be ready
And, like it or not,
I'll write about
Whatever I want
However I want.
So you can read, or not,
About my life and thoughts
Through this emotional clay pot
And say that you like it
Or not
And move along to other things
But whatever you think
I'll still write
Because it's for myself
And when I finish,
I'm left with another pot
To store my thoughts,
And it's beautiful, indeed.

I really enjoyed this poem. It has a lot
of personality and says a lot about the
author. I too believe that poetry is an art.
I like your metaphor of a potter
shaping a jar. Excellent work!
