Letters

Contributed by crow on Saturday, 13th January 2007 @ 11:18:58 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Silhouettes of the past
lost in minutes
reading yesterdays.

Visit the corner,
dreams and memories
like discarded wrappers.

So fragile the layers
golden rules,
here in the den of
dues, and do not.

Smile at my leisure,
I forget your not there,
unguarded heart,
messages sent,
vacant names.

I`ll never stop,
silly me,
dry the eyes
the bell tolls.

Missing
with gain,
missing
with fall
Just let me lay here
thoughts are like wine..
letters of sorrow..

Really excellent rhythm...

I sipped upon:

"...thoughts are like wine..."

Wisdom wafts from each read.

Peace

"dreams and memories
like discarded wrappers."

Kind of reminds me of a poem about popcorn left on a theatre floor.. kind of.

Just take the better path to that heart that has been turmoiled, and make it known it can get better......Such sentiment in this write.....I hope it gets better and happiness will prevail.

Loved reading this. It flowed from stanzas similar to Haikus into longer stanzas that makes it seem like a flowing river.

OH wow, vincent. You painted a picture in my mind . . .

I could see a person, kneeling in a dim attic, lit only by
a small stretch of sunlight cascading through a dormer
window . . .letters in their hand and a single tear rolling
down one cheek. Obviously flooded by memory . . .

exceptional. Beautiful and wondrous and soooooo very emotive.
