Pierce Through My Darkness

Contributed by axeman on Friday, 12th January 2007 @ 11:56:59 PM in AEST
Topic: drugabuse

I thought I felt how I have always felt,
Comfortably alone.
But lately I have been feeling lonely
Where’s everybody gone
I’ve lost sense of reality and time
My mind drifts away
While sorrow clouds my thought, ***** my head
Suddenly I notice my reflection
Off a broken glass
And I stare at my face, at my cold eyes
Cried to many tears
So many years lost, so much guilt and shame
God, are you out there?
So much regret, so much fear, so much hate
I look in through blackness of my eyes
Will I ever see happiness, joy… Love?
I turn one final page
I lay in bed late at night
My eyes pierce through my darkness
I hear the silence of my home
My family tucked away
Their minds lost in dream
I shut eyes to escape my reality
No use…forever awake,
Forever trapped
Forever dying
In my undying nightmare

Each word hit a nerve. A thousand miles it seems.
The end line in my undying nightmare, profound!

Hang in there and do not look back at what was lost along the way but what lies around the corner..... better things will come if you open your heart to them. You speak of your cold eyes, no my friend not cold just have lost a little of the inner spark. Your soul is still there embrace it.

Very sad but folks need to talk about this..
I've never attempted to do this but I know many that have and I'vee seen it takes lives at a young age.
I know it takes courage to write.
hang tuff.
Big huggs, prayer,
emy

Don't let the meth win. Cuz without it, life is beautiful. Excellent write.
