Love's Blood Curse

Contributed by NoSaint on Friday, 12th January 2007 @ 07:24:47 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

It sounded so inviting the power of the night
Eternally able to continue their love
But he moved on to another leaving perpetual longing
And a hunger for that which she views with disgust

How she hates herself for what she has become
Hunting for sustenance never able to see the sun
She haunts the dark alleyways looking for those
She views as unworthy to live the dredges of society

At least then she can do humankind a favor
Clearing out that which is a blight to the city
How she longs for deaths release
But has not the will to face the morning light

Lovers she has had too many to count
But like the black widow she kills
After the pleasure subsides
For she can’t feed the hunger of her heart

She searches for the one who made her this way
Looking and hoping to find him
For all she has left are dreams of revenge
That will last through infinity

Wow, again an amazing write. I really liked the lines
"Lovers she has had too many to count
But like the black widow she kills
After the pleasure subsides
For she can’t feed the hunger of her heart"
Because its so true so many people take it out on others when things dont go the way they planned. Again fantastic job i really enjoyed it.

Ah such curses should never be uttered lest they bite back...
But here is an example of 'Hell hath no Fury..."

The power and impact of these words came across surprisingly darker than anticipated.
They say "All is Fair in Love & War" but the truth is war has conventions and rules.

Really Well Done

Peace
Yang
