Warmth

Contributed by CuriousitysCat on Thursday, 11th January 2007 @ 04:19:32 PM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Orange rivers of silk
Flow over the wood
Varying shades of blue
Lace the silken streams
Eternal warmth rushes to
My side
One side cold and one warm
Representing my change
In moods
Brown satin burns away
And ash blows all around
Shifting shape
Forever changing
Constantly somewhere else
Trying to compensate
Blue ribbons slink and
Wrap around
Gracefully never making
A sound
As the brown satin's ash
Will surely return back to
The ground
But before that
As the orange
Silk dies
And the blue ribbons
Fade away
The ashy pile smolders
As the last breath
Is taken; it all
Fades to grey...
~Me

I imagine this piece captures how the sunsets in the soul from last light to dusk..
For me It is the souls reflection where:

"...the ashy pile smolders
As the last breath
Is taken; it all..."

Well Done

Peace

Oh my I love this. It took me took a campfire. The colors of the flames whipping up...blue ribbons. The soothing warmth the burning wood gives you....I can smell the embers smoldering. Beautiful, not sure where you were, but that's where this piece took me and I thank you for it. Last time we had a good campfire was a festival in Southern Missouri called Schwagstock (great little hippy fest)..
Peace and hugs,
Laura

Although water is my element w/o a doubt, I still so totally get the hypnotic quality of fire...it has a gracefulness which brings me full circle back to water & refocuses for me the intergration of all elements...
