Wee Willy Winky ran through the town,
Upstairs and downstairs in his nighting gown,
Rapping at the windows, crying at the locks
"Oh Wee Willy get to bed, it's nearly nine o'clock"
Nobody answered his desperate pleas,
They all ignored his cries,
"Go to bed", they told him
That night when Willy died.
Willy's death was a horrid one,
He was bruised and badly beat,
He tried his best to save himself
By running down the street.
"Off you go" they told him,
"It's nearly nine o'clock"
"Go to bed, Wee Willy"
As they shut the locks.
Poor Wee Willy ran through the town,
The night he was badly beat
In his gown he died that night,
Horridly in the street.
