Why

An early morning
A beautiful sun
A young man awakens
To return to where he's from
He sits at the bus stop
Tears in his eyes
To make the long journey
Home

The bus soon pulls up
And the young man gets on
He looks at the people
Some have hope others none
His tears now drying
He takes to a seat
To wait for his journey
Home

The bus ride takes hours
And hours on end
The young man remembers
How long it has been
If they truly loved him
Would it have taken so long
But none of that matters back
Home

The bus comes to a stop
Back in his home town
The place he grew up
Before he learned how to frown
He walks to his old house
And he knocks on the door
His father answers
And asks him what he's there for

Hello father
I've come home to say hello
To tell you I love you
And that I've missed you so
His father stands still
For a moment or two
Then speaks into the silence
"Why?"

Early the next morning
A young man awakes
He showers in his hotel
And goes to the bus stop to wait
He sits at the bus stop
Tears in his eyes
To make a final journey

His father lays still
In his comfortable bed
Tears streaming down his face
He cannot sleep
No matter how long he waits
The tears they won't stop
Wondering why he said
Why

Oh, wow. Touching. I like the way it tells a story. I love the first three verses, the way you ended each with 'Home.' It was a beautiful piece, heartbreakingly beautiful.. (if that's a word..?) Great job. Best wishes to you, I'm sorry for the situation you're in =(
