Of Love and Pain

I know love and pain all too well,
They go side by side, I can tell.
Where there is love, pain will remain,
Love is never love without pain.
Between giving and receiving,
Telling the truth or deceiving,
From what we take and what we share,
Both love and pain are always there.
From a kiss to a sweet embrace,
And every teardrop on your face,
Every heartache and every smile,
Love and pain makes it all worthwhile.
From forgetting to forgiving
Just between dying and living
From what you seek, to what you hide,
Love and pain will always collide.
Between falling down and learning,
From simple distaste to yearning,
‘Till the day after forever,
Love and pain, they go together.
I know love and pain all too well,
From what I know, this I can tell,
When in love, you’ll never complain,
For true love is worth all the pain.
Baby, I’m begging you to stay
I’ll endure each pain in my way
For pain is there where love is true.
I’m in pain because I love you.

First of all I hope you are feeling better soon.
My friend this poem is lovely, tender and thoughtulness on your part. Embracing all there is with such honesty. May the pain leave and love return between your paths.
