The devils banquet

Contributed by Sturgezulu on Monday, 8th January 2007 @ 01:48:41 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

angel tears fall from the clouds
feathers blow across the sky
heavens gates lay in rust
as nirvana's depiction runs dry,
the streets littered with invitations
all welcome to the devils banquet
dress to impress for a feast on sins
immortality for he who wins
and you know you want it !.

blood drips from the table
grievous laughter fills the grand hall
morals served for starters
the mortals lick lips full with enthral,
as plates still full with the ravaged waste
faith arrives piping hot ready
the now valueless demons await desirous
wide eyed lust kicks in and they're unsteady

main course laid down bare
the frantic burst as divinity loses purity
from the bottom of the hooves to the top of his horns
the chef gazes across with obscurity,
at one man sitting emotionless in the corner
with an empty bottle of judgment
as each felon falls one after another
using they're last breath to repent.

The Imagination shown in this poem is remarkable and out of the world .
Wonderfully penned.

FRANCO.
