My Fantasy In Reality's Perspective

Contributed by CuriousitysCat on Sunday, 7th January 2007 @ 06:45:38 PM in AEST
Topic: mystical

What am I to think when
A man in the tree starts
Talking to me?
He's singing a song who's
Vocalist reminds me of
The cause for trouble
In paradise
She's insane
And so while I'm being serenaded
By treeman insane vocalist
And thoughts of the unstable woman
I slip into my
Place of thought
To be bitten by guilt
And formulate my gratefulness
And being vocal is me
But I keep in mind
To passively observe is
To learn a lot
The wisdom touches me
At the most unoften moments
In time
But for now I sit and sip
At the cup of knowledge
As others teach me
What it is
To feel...

Trees have such real voices that it's near impossible to not find faces in them...

Great poem, I think I share these feeling sometimes

I've always held as a saying:
'A vivid imagination is the most reliable friend you can have'

I love how a poem reveals the writers character and upbringing :)

"...I slip into my
Place of thought
To be bitten by guilt
And formulate my gratefulness..."

A Toast to the Next One Hundred Years as you... :)

"...sit and sip
At the cup of knowledge..."

Here's to your parents and the good moral fiber in you as we all learn to do & feel by the other's example...

Thank You
Good Job

Peace
Yang

nicly done, the title really caught my eye because the Boom Boom Satalites had a trak on one of their CDs with the lyrics "Your fantasy's a reality but your reality is killing me"

I really liked your use of metaphors in this poem.
Your choice of scenery and characters are
very original. These lines have really captured
my attention:

“But for now I sit and sip
At the cup of knowledge”

Great work!
