It's hard to have faith.

Topic: ChristianPoetry

Little by little and inch by inch I lose my faith, it's going slow, and all I ask for is some proof but I still have recieved none.
This sounds just like a fairytale, virgin's birth and men walk on water. Well I think that It could be ******** but then how did I get here?
Evolution seems just as rediculous as all the rest of it. What of the other religions? They could be right, we could be wrong but I've got no way of knowing and I won't know until the end.
I've come to believe that I don't have a belief, I just will continue to question. I have to ask though, how do people so blindly accept their faith?
The more I think the less I know, the more I try the less I grow. Well I hope that in the end whatever god is up their will be merciful.

This is a really good poem and it describes really well the process of questioning that many go through. I found your poem sad in the end, it seemed like there were so many questions, yet in the end they remained unanswered. It seemed like the end to the seeking and searching in the poem was just a realisation that you would never know. Just wanted to say that if you do have questions about faith, don't be afraid to ask, I believe that there is truth and that if you seek for it you will find it. I'm a christian, so if you do have questions feel free to PM me. Overall though it was a great poem and very well written, thanks for sharing.

I did follow faith blindly, until God answered my prayers. Day after day He does. I regret so much ever doubting Him. Hopefully, He'll answer yours soon.

evolution only seems as unlikely as god if you dont yet fully understand it. Darwin and natural selection has raised the consciousness of many and taken a step towards mankinds understanding of the world. if you have any questions about evolution or faith feel free to PM me. i am an atheist and not ashamed to admit it. i have no blind faith and make my own decisions, something i think others should be free to do aswell.
