Tide Beating Hearts

Set sail on
a romantic voyage
to a never ending trip.
On a ship
made out of wood
destruct nor wind
or water could.
Life on board
of tide beating hearts
A rocking ship
the ocean's mist
A love grew deeper
between shipkeepers.
To waters deep
and oceans blue
upon this ship
carries no crew
only a captain
and his first mate
not lovers
but soulmates.

Often the symbol of sailing is used to describe turbulent and unrequited love. I enjoyed your creative approach, by making the ship appear peaceful, enduring, and eternal. These lines “only a captain and his first mate not lovers but soulmates,” really captivated me. It was very touching, and left me feeling content. Great work! |
