I picked up my pen
and asked myself
What am I going to write?
I don’t know
The spring of ideas has dried out
I can’t find ideas anymore
My mind has stopped
My pen is bored
He’s asking me
When will I start?
Don’t worry buddy
I answered
Soon I will find the ideas
And keep you busy

The poetess expresses her intention to write something but her mind is shattered, perhaps confused with the worries of life, a time will come when her dried fountain will begin dripping and the drops of ideas will begin to flow in the form of a rill, nice write, keep on.

Writer’s block is something we all face, I have written on the subject myself, (a poem entitled Gifted, feel free to check it out), so I really enjoyed your take on it. Great write. |

Well, I can sure relate to this one. I think every poet goes through these times...we get blocked up, our minds become constipated (so to speak) then all of the sudden like a dam bursting....it flows. I have enjoyed reading your work and I look forward to reading more. Welcome to YPDC.
Peace, Laura |
