A Pretty Ditty

I want to write a pretty ditty
And make my pretty ditty witty,
Not pretty smooth or pretty gritty,
Not pretty clear or pretty zitty.

About the country or the city,
About a dog or pretty kitty,
About a glove or maybe mitty,
About the whole, not pretty bitty.

I know it may not be a hitty
Like a song by Conway Twitty,
Cos, somehow, that would not be fitty
For my pretty little ditty.

My mind's all dark and not well litty,
And all my thoughts are going skitty,
Which really is an awful pity,
But that don't mean I'm gonna quitty.

Now as I write my pretty ditty,
I'm feeling like a proper titty
Because I know my pretty ditty
Has really turned out pretty ******
