Thee Unheard Voices

Contributed by Valerie_Pearson on Thursday, 20th February 2003 @ 07:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

The baby between so fair, she be,
so youthful of earthly two,
a battle amongst the many fought,
I still must cradle you,
~~~~~~
Tressled hair of lily blond,
deep sapphire eyes,
Dare a knock of strangers foot,
disturb your youthful sighs,
~~~~~~
Katie Lynn in which I hold,
she lurks where you sleep free,
there came a law for when she's found,
she's then able to see,
~~~~~~
Another battle dear gentle child,
for three days you leave my sight,
what will she really know,
will she rock you in thee night,
~~~~~~

Oh dear one,
she lurks upon my home,
with you in hand,
said she was your mother,
but to mar you was her plan,
~~~~~~
Blackened eyes and broken ribs,
scars on your tiny face,
both your tiny legs broken,
these tears I can retrace,
~~~~~~

What kind of law for thee is justice,
for baby only two,
no more you leave my side, my sweet,
I grant that wish for you,
~~~~~~
Your voice, sweet one ..... cries out again,
another battle we must fight,
change the laws for sweet Katie Lynn,
for her I'd give my life!
There is no sentence good enough or cruel enough for someone who harms a child. I hate to read this kind of stuff but it is very well written
