reign of anger

Contributed by PhantomVampyress on Thursday, 4th January 2007 @ 12:47:26 PM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

Despairation takes its course
using nothing and everything as it's force
each night when you sleep
it bleeds, it burns within to be heard

Destruction rising
taking over when all else has failed
pain turns to the hate
remembering mistakes
twist in the knife of desolation
when all is destroyed
everything crumbled
and nothing left but stains of resentment

the reign of anger takes its seat
inside your soul

vampyress Jenni

short& sweet, the way poetry should be. ;)

i loved it...truly explaining anger...although it's not an angry poem...which is really unusual...but makes this that much better!

I definitely see this and it rings true to those who allow anger to turn into resentment and cancers in our blood...

Often the first steps in healing is simply admitting then working through ones rage...

May the reign be brief, the King is dead...

Well Done

Peace

Nice write. Yes, we are our thoughts. Very, very important to have beautiful thoughts always.

This is an incredible peice of poetry, the line,
" Remembering Mistakes " if that don't say it all i don't know what does. It wouldn't leave me alone, i can deffinately relate to in sad to say. A most essential and very strong peice of writting. Nicely done.

You know, psychology tells us that rage turned inwards (because its not thought to be safe to express it) becomes depression, as you so neatly expressed here. A lesson that poetry can be instructive as well as a good read.

Jenni ~

This is an excellent expression of how anger can
eat away at one's soul, letting only darkness in and
blocking the light.

Thank you for sharing .. a perfect piece of enlightenment ..

There's a bit of a life lesson that you've penned here Jenni, and I couldn't help but notice it's a fairly common theme in your writes --- wonderful how you can vent your feelings, and at the same time possibly help someone simply by reading your work : )
Keep it up!
